Our fine pastry bakers combine their innate artistic talents with disciplined training to create cakes both beautiful and delicious.

Individually decorated cakes, unique in design — all our own fillings, frostings, purees and glazes, made in-house.

Viennoiserie, Pastries & Cookies
Croissants and classic French pastry made in the classic manner for over 40 years, laminated over 3 days and baked fresh every day.

Rich cocoa soufflé cakes, mousse cups and more — available everyday, whole or by the piece.
A new chapter for a Eugene tradition
Founder Donna McGuinness ran Metropol for 48 years. In October 2025 she passed the ovens to longtime manager Maria Martin, who started here in 1998 and has done every job in the building. Same recipes, same standards, same bakery.

Fresh baguette, soft cheese — the everyday luxury
We're not just selling a pastry or cake or bread, we're selling the experience of coming to a bakery and having a luxury. Nobody needs any of this, so it's our job to make them feel like they need it.
